DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Renai Allen is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in family medicine and psychiatric mental health, with over 25 years of diverse clinical experience. With a practice grounded in compassion, collaboration, and whole-person healing, Renai brings a warm, integrative approach that attends to both the physical and emotional needs of her clients.
Originally from New England, Renai began her academic journey at Northeastern University in Boston, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. Her early research experience gave her a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection—one that later inspired her transition into direct patient care. She went on to earn both her BSN and MSN from Regis College, and later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatric Mental Health at Brandman University (now UMass Global), deepening her expertise in trauma-informed and holistic mental health care.
Renai is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her work spans a range of healthcare environments—including hospitals, correctional facilities, community clinics, neurodevelopmental programs, and outpatient settings—serving patients from childhood through older adulthood.
At Integrated Psychiatric Services (IPS), Renai brings this breadth of experience to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that shares her vision of patient-centered care.
The IPS model enhances Renai’s work by fostering strong interprofessional communication, encouraging creativity in care planning, and making space for the kind of therapeutic presence she values most—authentic, empathetic, and personalized.
Her areas of clinical focus include:
Mood and anxiety disorders
ADHD and behavioral conditions
Trauma and PTSD
Neurodevelopmental disorders
Chronic stress and adjustment-related concerns
Collaborative care for underserved and high-risk populations
Since relocating to Georgia in 2013, Renai has embraced the opportunity to build
lasting therapeutic relationships in her community. Whether working with a child
navigating a new diagnosis or an adult seeking long-term stability, she is dedicated
to walking alongside her clients with respect, insight, and genuine care.
